Woodland NI

The development of a large factory and warehouse for woodland kitchens.

Woodland is Northern Ireland's largest manufacturer of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom cabinets. They supply tailor made cabinetry for some of the biggest names in the industry.

Celtic Park - Derry City

2010 - Construction of a new spectator stand and press centre - £1,649,500

This was a 5.5 hectare site. The work involved provision of a new stand and terraced seating area to accommodate 2500 seats. This was constructed over an existing terraced area with restricted access due to existing boundary wall and playing fields, which were strictly out of bounds.

Refurbishment of existing buildings to include training facility and offices at Translink Headquarters

Refurbishment of existing buildings to include training facility and offices at Translink Headquarters, Belfast.

The works included new aluminium windows, fitting of Air conditioning units, installation of new metal stairwell and altering the layout of the building.

Works included alterations to Mechanical and Electrical.

Captain Street Coleraine

5 story building covering 600sq metres of retail units built in a busy street in Coleraine

This was a 5 storey high building covering 600sq mts of retails units, 1st floor office accommodation with area for fitness suite and the remaining 3 floors were apartments.

The location was on a busy thoroughfare, an infil site looking on to a busy petrol station between two occupied dwellings, sitting along a main road. A sudden drop from the level of the road to the site floor, nesscitated the installation of ogre pored piles with capped ringbeam to support roadway and adjacent properties. Excavations were carried out afterwards.

Due to a high water table, a special membrane and tanking procedure had to be carried out around the site. The lower ground and ground floors were poured reinforced concrete with the apartments being traditional block and plaster finishing with a trussed and tiled roof. Lift facilities were installed in the building. Deliveries had to be timed with material orders kept to a minimum due to limited storage facilities.

All hot works had to be carried out off site.
